1. Service and parties
Buddy is an independent Discord application and associated website. Depending on the bot version, available modules may include moderation, security, tickets, community features, virtual economy and information commands. Functionality depends on Discord's APIs, server configuration and granted permissions. The service operator is identified in the contact section below. Buddy is not endorsed by Discord.
2. Eligibility and server authority
You must comply with Discord's age requirements, terms and applicable law. Only users authorized to administer a server may install or configure the bot there. Server administrators are responsible for choosing roles, channels and allowed functionality for their communities. If parental or guardian permission is legally required, it must be obtained before using relevant services.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use Buddy to harass others, distribute illegal material, send spam, infringe rights, bypass security systems, impersonate others or interfere with operations. Do not submit passwords, tokens, payment details or sensitive information unnecessarily. We may restrict access where justified by security, abuse prevention or applicable law.
4. Moderation and automated decisions
Moderation commands can remove messages, assign roles, warn or exclude members. They execute actions within the permissions and instructions set by server administrators. Buddy cannot independently assess the legal or factual basis of each moderation action. Review your role hierarchy and grant the bot only the permissions it needs.
5. Tickets and user content
Tickets and community features may contain user-provided messages and files. Access can depend on server-specific Discord permissions; transcripts may be generated when the feature is enabled. Server administrators are responsible for informing their members of relevant collection and retention practices. Users remain responsible for the content they submit to the extent required by law.
6. Virtual economy
Buddy's coins, jobs, inventories, rankings and minigames are virtual entertainment features. Unless a separate valid written agreement expressly provides otherwise, virtual balances have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for real money and do not create a financial claim. The operator may change game settings reasonably to maintain fairness, security and stability.
7. Changes, maintenance and availability
We may modify or discontinue features or perform maintenance, including in response to Discord API or legal changes. Unless a separate service level agreement applies, uninterrupted availability or a particular response time is not promised. Roadmap items and estimates are not binding release commitments.
8. Intellectual property
Buddy branding, source materials and original website elements may be protected by intellectual property laws. Discord and third-party brands belong to their respective owners. No provision restricts uses permitted by mandatory law or applicable licenses.
9. Liability and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, the operator does not accept liability for events outside its control or for losses resulting solely from unlawful or unauthorized actions by third parties. This does not exclude liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including any applicable rights of consumers or data subjects.
10. Ending use and removing data
A server administrator may remove Buddy from a Discord server. Removing the bot or disconnecting OAuth does not necessarily erase historical records from other systems. See the Privacy Policy for data rights and deletion requests. Account holders can export or delete their website community account from the account page.
11. Law, dispute resolution and updates
Czech law and directly applicable EU legislation govern where legally appropriate, without limiting mandatory protections afforded by another applicable jurisdiction. Contact support to discuss a complaint. Changes to this document should be dated and communicated when appropriate.
